Before I even put pen to paper, I think a few decades ahead. Would people still love my pieces fifty years into the future? What materials would best suit the air and temperature? Will I be making designs that will best suit my clients needs? Creating something new yet timeless is my mission.

I am an artist and designer living and working in brooklyn new york
My name is Amiyr Barclift. I founded A-Train Design in 2001 to combine my love for art and design with my interest in programming and technology. I honed my design skill at magazines and design firms after my graduation from Hampton University. In addition to my BA in Art with an emphasis on graphic design, I did additional design and fine art study at the School of Visual Arts Typography Program, the Cooper Union Summer Program in Graphic Design and Art, and the Pratt Institute Summer Arts Program. After volunteering to teach art in after school programs, I decided to earn a Masters of Science in education at Touro College. In addition to creating web and print campaigns through A-Train Design, I am also an art teacher in the New York Public School System. My design aesthetic is clean and nuanced and I desire to continue to build brands and interactive multi-media platforms.
